Hello, my name is Dr, Mark James Bartiss (but I prefer just Mark), founder and medical director of
ICAM. We opened our doors on May 12th 2003 in hopes of establishing a practice that was not only
innovative but integrated to provide my patients (as well as myself), a better, safer and more alternative
approach toward health.

In 1990 I began private practice in Southern Ocean County in Family Medicine and although my practice
had evolved into one of the largest single physician owned practices in the state of New Jersey, this growth and challenge was not satisfying enough for me. There were just too many questions unanswered and too many people that did not respond to conventional therapies. These patients needed a physician with an open mind that woud provide help, understanding and treatment on how to feel well again.

In the later part 1990 after several patients expressed their interest regarding the safety and efficacy of
various alternative medical modalities, I decided to investigate into the endless offerings that
Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) provided.

As a personal testimonial, I attribute my continued existence and remarkable regained and sustained quality of 1ife as well as that of hundreds of my patients and friends to the practice of CAM.

For over twenty years I have been providing medical care to thousands of patients and their families in all
phases of their lives. I aggressively continue my education and mining in the CAM field and have
